"85% of pubs and restaurants in Sligo Town are closed - it's depressing"

The 8pm curfew on hospitality has basically closed the majority of pubs and restaurants across rural Ireland.

In Sligo Town it is estimated that 80% of hospitality businesses are currently closed as they say it doesn't make sense business wise to be open.

The Vintners Federation of Ireland and the Restaurants Association of Ireland are now calling on the earlier closing time to be lifted.
