The Dept of Education has announced a delay to issuing the Leaving Cert results.

They were expected in mid-August but now won't be revealed until Sept 7th, meaning students will get their CAO places on the 11th.

It's adding pressure on universities who may have to delay the commencement of first year courses, and may result in a rush for accommodation when students accept their places.

Ivan spoke to Luke Casserly, Deputy President of Irish Secondary Students Union, and Ed Walsh, founding President of UL about the impact this delay will have on the class of 2020, and Ivan's belief that the whole saga has been a disaster for the Dept.
