Over recent weeks, we have been focusing on the 20 most influential moments of the past 20 years - as chosen by Newstalk listeners.

One of those moments was the the introduction of the smoking ban on March 29th 2004.

It's hard to remember a time before smoke-free pubs and restaurants, but it wasn’t actually too long ago that the legislation was enforced and one of the key players who worked to get it introduced joined Kieran on The Hard Shoulder.

The Taoiseach also spoke about the ongoing Brexit talks and why we need to keep up our guard up against Covid as we get closer to Christmas.
