Ireland and the UK are making a joint bid to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup.

In a joint statement, the five football associations of Ireland, Northern Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales said that they were delighted to support a prospective bid for the tournament.

Kieran was joined on The Hard Shoulder by former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern, who saw no reason why we can't make the most of it, as well as former Irish international Gary Breen.
