Traders in the English Market have called for plans by Cork City Council to develop a public toilet at it's Grand Parade entrance to be scrapped.
The proposal features in a policy document on the provision of public toilets in the city centre which will be presented to a city council meeting tonight.
If given the go ahead the Hilser building on Grand Parade would operate as a supervised toilet from 10am to 8pm six days a week.
Kieran was joined on The Hard Shoulder by fishmonger at the English Market Pat O’Connell, and Independent Councillor Paudie Dineen.
