Fine Gael Senator Regina Doherty joined those continuing to voice concerns about religious influence over the plan to build the National Maternity Hospital on land not owned by the state.
While the Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has said the clinical independence protections for the new facility are legally "bulletproof", Senator Doherty told Kieran that is not enough and trust needs to built back.
