Last week on the show, John Kelleher gave a glowing recommendation to a new documentary film from someone who is well known to listeners of this show, Councillor Gerard Mannix Flynn. And that clip you just heard there was taken from the opening scene of the film.

It’s called Land Without God, and it opens in Irish cinemas tomorrow on Friday 18th October. It tells the story of Mannix’s family in their own words, and how they clashed with, and were eventually victimised by, state and church institutions in Ireland over their lifetimes.

Mannix Flynn joined Ivan in studio to talk about the new documentary.
