As Leaving Cert results are announced today, the plight for students finding suitable accommodation has intensified. Chaplain for the Technological University of the Shannon, Father Shay Casey, says things have never been so bad.

So desperate is the situation that this week, the priest who has 37 years experience of working with students, considered calling the army for help in sourcing tents.
