Oughterard is a small town of 1300 in the west of Galway. Locals have come together to protest the proposed plans to open a direct provision center there. Due to insufficient infrastructure in the town, they say. So, we asked local councillor Thomas Welby about it.

In Wexford town, they had similar complaints about the opening of a center in the Grand Hotel there. But how has it gotten on since? We asked the hotel owner, Adrian Shanagher told us how things have gotten on.
