The Department of Education is considering removing certain novels from the school curriculum following complaints about a number of works which contain racial slurs, such as To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee or John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men.

Yemi Adenuga Fine Gael Councillor for Navan who moved to Ireland from Nigeria and Malcolm Byrne  Fianna Fáil Senator , joined Kieran to discuss if these books still have a place in our classrooms.
