The National Women's Council were before an Oireachtas Health Committee today calling for a rise in the quality standards of abortion services and bring Ireland in line with WHO guidance.
This includes the removal of the 3 day wait period between ultrasound and abortion and the 12-week window in which an abortion can be carried out.
