Micheál Martin, the leader of Fianna Fáil and TD for Cork South-Central joined Ivan this evening on the Hard Shoulder to discuss his role as leader of the opposition at a time when the confidence and supply arrangement has been questioned, even by some within his own party.

He spoke about wanting to build more houses as a platform in any future election. He also reiterated his pledge not enter government with Sinn Féin after that election, which he predicted would happen some time in early 2020.

Take a listen to this wide-ranging interview across a number of areas including Brexit, the health service, the Fianna Fáil party grassroots and Micheál Martin's assessment of Taoiseach Leo Varadkar's biggest failing.
