This Saturday Inchicore Railway Works in Dublin 8 is opening its doors to the public to celebrate its 175th anniversary. The 70 acre site is the country's largest engineering facility, generations of local Inchicore families worked there in all sorts of trades. Refurbishing, fixing and maintaining Ireland's trains with pride. Henry McKean was invited along to get a sneak peak of what the public can expect on Saturday. He sent us this report. The Inchicore Railway Works Open day is a ticketed event so please check in advance on Irishrail.ie
