The NHS began the first Western mass immunization program against coronavirus today.

The elderly and care home workers are first in line for the jab.

And in fact, 90 year old Margaret Keenan from Fermanagh was the first to receive the jab at about 6.45am in Coventry this morning.

Dr Gabriel Scally is a public health physician, former Director of Public Health for Belfast and Professor of Public Health at University of Bristol.  He gave his reaction to a positive day in the fight against Covid 19.

Newstalk's own Barry Whyte also headed North of the border to find out how the rollout was going there.
