Gordon Elliott will face an Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board hearing tomorrow following the image posted online of him sitting astride a dead horse on the gallops at his training yard.

But has the backlash gone far enough? Can he be allowed to apologise for his mistake, take a punishment as decided by the IHRB, and then get back to racing?
