According to recent figures from the Department of Education, the number of pupils being taught through Irish in primary school have reached record high levels.

The recent school year saw almost one in 12 schoolchildren at primary level receiving their education through Irish.

He told Ivan why this is great news, and is proof that more Gaelscoileanna are needed.
