Twenty days until Brexit day.

And EU Council President Donald Tusk has confirmed that after Prime Minister Boris Johnson met Taoiseach Leo Varadkar yesterday that "both saw for the first time a pathway to a deal".

He of course said there was no guarantee of success, and made the point that time is ‘practically up’.

Also, it must be remembered that Theresa May got a deal, but couldn’t get it over the line.

Darren McCaffrey is Political Editor for NBC Euronews, and told Ivan why he is more hopeful of a deal than he was at the start of the week.
