Agriculture Minister 'not representing farmers'

The Irish Farmer Association have picketed a meeting today in Dublin called by Agriculture Minister Charlie McConalogue this morning, following a cut in Ireland’s nitrates derogation limit.    The derogation was set to help limit the effect agriculture has had on Ireland’s water supply but after an EPA report showing a decline in water quality, the cut has been called. The Irish Farmer Association have picketed a meeting today in Dublin called by Agriculture Minister Charlie McConalogue this morning, following a cut in Ireland’s nitrates derogation limit.
