Two thousand people who have gained refugee status are still living in Direct Provision because of the housing crisis.

When an asylum seeker is granted status that are free to live in the community.

However many struggle to find private accommodation; many landords will not accept HAP.

Only 57 people who were granted refugee status found alternative accomodation in January of this year.
