The term “birth mother” is “reductive and hurtful”. That’s what Children’s Minister Roderic O’Gorman said yesterday ahead of the legislation debate regarding the Birth Information and Tracing Bill.  Minister O’Gorman added that an alternative term should be used, and joining us to discuss further is Bernie from AdoptionLoss, the Natural Parent's Network of Ireland.
