A team of vaccinators and healthcare workers are set to be the first people in Northern Ireland to receive a Covid-19 vaccine this morning

The eight hundred strong team will be the first on the island to receive a vaccine administered at 8am at Belfast Royal Victoria Hospital's vaccination centre.

Meanwhile in the republic, NPHET have warned that a three-week lockdown after Christmas could be necessary if cases of Covid-19 rise to 400 per day.

To discuss this further Ciara and Shane are joined by Aoife McLysaght, Professor of genetics at Trinity College Dublin and David Young, Ireland Editor of the Press Association.
