The Garda Representative Association has called for a full review into whether Gardaí need more armed support. It comes as 24-year-old Stephen Dowling was sentenced to 8 years in prison for going on a shooting rampage with a high-powered rifle in Glenties in February 2020. Brendan O'Connor, Vice President of the GRA explained why they are calling for this full review.
