The DUP’s Paul Givan has resigned as the North’s First Minister in protest against the Northern Ireland Protocol. It comes after the Assembly’s Minister of Agriculture and DUP MLA Edwin Poots instructed officials not to carry out checks on goods coming into the North citing legal advice.
