St Audoen's school in Dublin 8 has brought legal proceedings to the High Court in a bid to overturn An Bord Pleanála's decision to grant permission for a medically supervised injecting centre at nearby Merchants Quay. Why is there such opposition to these services and if none have been given green light since they were legalised four years ago?

Will we ever see a drug injection centre serving addicts in need?  Dr Garrett McGovern, a GP specialising in substance abuse at the Priority Medical Clinic and Tina MacVeigh, a PeopleBeforeProfit Councillor in Dublin 8 both joined us to debate this.
