The continuation of State screening programmes is seriously threatened by the implications of last week’s High Court judgment in the Ruth Morrissey case, radiologists warned yesterday.

Judge Kevin Cross' judgment said that screeners should not give the all clear, unless they have "absolute confidence" that a sample is clear.

Shane Coleman spoke to Anne O'Doherty, Consultant Radiologist and Lead Clinical Director of BreastCheck to get her reaction to the judgement.
