Schools should seek to re-open as a high priority. That’s the recommendation from a new report from the HSE looking at Covid outbreaks in our schools last year. In the last school year, there were 832 Covid outbreaks associated with staff and children in schools reported to the HPSC totaling 3,655 cases. Dr. Abigail Collins is the HSE’s Public Health Schools Response Lead who was behind the report and she spoke to us this morning.
