The National Immunisation Advisory Committee is expected to recommend the use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine for those aged 50 and older in Ireland.  However, where an alternative vaccine is not available for younger age groups, it can be used. Liam Fanning Professor of Immunovirology at UCC.
