From costs to lack of options, we have been hearing all about the different barriers facing commuters this week.
There have been calls for the Short Hop Zone fares to be extended. Our Newstalk survey has found people want increased investment in public transport and reduced fuel costs.
To compare public transport with the private car our reporter Josh Crosbie joined a commuter who travels from Newbridge to Dublin city centre by car.
