Over a half a million households and businesses will get high speed broadband at a cost of 3 billion to the state.  

The Government says yesterday’s announcement of the National Broadband Plan is the biggest boom to rural Ireland since electrification.   

We speak to Leitrim Businessman Philip Martin who welcomes the announcement and Minister for Communications, Richard Bruton who is responsible for implementing the plan.
