The Central Bank of Ireland’s private motor insurance report continues to dominate the news today.

The CBI’s report found that Average motor insurance premiums rose 42% between 2009 and 2018, while the average cost of claims per policy fell by 2.5%

Michael D’Arcy, Minister of State with special responsibility for Financial Services and Insurance, joined Shane Coleman on the show to discuss who is to blame for these rising premiums and what can be done about it.
