Jansen Jab’s Future Is In NIAC’s Hands

Tánaiste Leo Varadkar is urging the National Immunisation Advisory Committee to approve use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine in people under 60.  NIAC will meet later today to discuss the European Medicine Agency’s conclusion that the small risk of blood clots associated with the Jansen jab is outweighed by it’s benefits.   Professor Sam Mc Conkey is an Infectious Disease Specialist at the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland and he spoke to us this morning.
