A record 4,004 complaints have been made to the ombudsman about services provided by government departments, local authorities and the HSE.
The complaints saw a 17% increase in 2020 which is the highest ever in its 38-year history. Recently appointed Ombudsman Ger Deering spoke to Newstalk Breakfast on these findings.
