Why The Government’s Plan On Parental Leave During Covid Doesn’t Go Far Enough

The Minister for Children Roderic O’Gorman plans to give an extra three week parent's leave to people who have had a child during COVID, or anytime from November 1st 2019 onwards. However concerns have been raised that the plan doesn’t go far enough, and that this policy was already flagged as far back as November of last year. For reaction to this we were joined by Orla O’Connor, director of the National Women’s Council of Ireland.
