Government's €500 million package to combat the rise in cost of living

The Government has announced a €505 million package in measures to combat the rise in the cost of living. A 20% cut to public transport fares, €200 energy rebate and an extra €125 on the fuel allowance are among the host of new measures announced. In reaction to these measures, Shane spoke to John Fitzgerald adjunct professor in economics at Trinity College Dublin.
