Very good people lost very good positions”. That’s what Judge Mary Fahy had to say in Galway District Court yesterday before dismissing all charges against the defendants in the ‘Golfgate’ trial.  Galway West TD Noel Grealish and former senator Donie Cassidy were among those on trial, while former minister of agriculture Dara Calleary resigned over his attendance at the event. In reaction to the charges being thrown out of court, we heard from Shane Ross, Former Transport Minister columnist for the Sunday Independent.
