In June of this year, the Gender Disparity Data Report revealed a significant imbalance between the playing of music of male and female-identifying Irish artists.   However, according to a follow up report which has just been published more music by Irish female artists is being played on radio stations across the country.  Joining us to discuss this further we heard from Barbara McCarthy, Columnist with The Irish Independent.
