Concrete block levy to be up and running in a “number of weeks”

The regulations for the Defective Concrete Block scheme should be up and running “in the next number of weeks” So said the Finance Minister Michael McGrath in the Dáil yesterday. The new 10% levy on concrete blocks was brought in as part of the Mica Redress Scheme and is expected to raise 80 million euros annually.
