A new study shows that obesity increases the risk of death from Covid-19 by almost 40%.  People who are overweight also pose a greater risk of passing on the virus, and carry the virus for longer. So, is it time we switch from shielding the elderly to shielding the obese? Dr Donal O’Shea is the HSE’s Clinical Lead on Obesity joins us to discuss.
