Now over the next couple of weeks on Newstalk Breakfast and The Hard Shoulder we’re going to be bringing you our new series ‘Cocaine Nation’, where we look at the rise in Cocaine use right across the country. 

So how severe is the problem at the moment? 

Well the latest figures released in April revealed that the number of people seeking treatment for cocaine addiction has doubled since 2011. 

Dr Suzi Lyons, Senior Researcher at the Health Research Board joins Newstalk Breakfast to discuss the latest statistics.

Our reporter Elaine Smith took to the streets to of Cork to ask those on their night out how big the issue is.
