The Lord Mayor of Dublin, James Geoghegan has backed calls for a statue of the late Sinead O’Connor to be erected in Dublin. Despite a longstanding rule in Dublin City Council that you can’t build a statue or a memorial for someone unless they have been deceased for 20 years.
