Under Government plans announced today, a new broadcasting bill will now charge laptops, tablets and other devices. This new bill will see TV licence fees apply to laptops, tablets and other devices that people watch programmes on.  The new bill will also see the government tender for people to collect the licence fee in a bid to crack down on non-payment.  We were joined by Brid Smith, People Before Profit TD and Michael McDowell, Senator and Former Minister for Justice  to debate this issue
