Chief Medical Officer Tony Holohan told the government Level 5 restrictions will be needed after Christmas due to the rising number of new Covid-19 cases.  The Cabinet committee on Covid-19 met last night to discuss the spike in cases and the emergence of a new strain of the virus in England.  For more we were joined by Aoife McLysaght Professor of genetics at Trinity College Dublin.
