It was the hit TV series of Lockdown but now Normal People has been nominated for four US Emmy Awards. Paul Mescal has been nominated for best lead actor in a limited series or movie while Sally Rooney and Alice Birch were nominated for outstanding writing. Also nominated is Director Lenny Abrahamson who was selected in the outstanding directing for a limited series category.
