Irish army to spend €300k on converting Land Rovers to electric engines

The Irish army’s Land Rover Defenders are generally used only in ceremonial funerals for deceased Presidents and Taoisigh. But now, a decision has been made to convert the diesel vehicles to electric at enormous cost to the taxpayer.
