No sunlight or natural air, coffin-like bunk beds and sleeping just feet away from ballistic nuclear weapons.

That was the reality of living on a submarine for Richard Humphreys; who’s written a book to try and convey the claustrophobic conditions of life under the sea.

Under Pressure details the five years he spent on a sub in the 80s, trying to avoid detection by the Soviets. Richard spoke to Sean on the show today.
