GUBU has been added to the Oxford English Dictionary. The word was first coined by Irish Journalist Conor Cruise O’Brien and is an acronym for which stands for grotesque, unbelievable, bizarre and unprecedented. It is based on the events in the summer of 1992, where an aristocrat called Malcom McArthur committed a double murder and was involved in a political scandal of huge proportions.
