Don’t feed the birds stale bread

You’re taking a family trip to see the swans and many would think that they are doing a good think by bringing some bread to feed them, but you could actually do more harm than good. Westmeath County Council issued a warning online for people to stop feeding the swans mouldy or stale bread. This comes after the swans began developing pink feathers, which is a fungal infection from eating the bread.
