Beer today, gone tomorrow?

Heineken made headlines earlier this year for increasing the cost of their beer to keep up with inflation. And though consumers gawped at the almost 14% price hike, volumes drunk in Europe have only fallen by 1% so far. So, is beer the one expense Irish people are unwilling to forgo on?
