Financial incentives for political parties to run more women in the upcoming local elections are set to be agreed by Cabinet this week, with gender quotas currently off the table. CEO of Women For Election, Ciairín de Buis joins Ciara on the line to discuss the benefit of gender diversity in politics and the current barriers blocking many women from entering the race.
