President Michael D Higgins will today lead a global candle lighting campaign on to mark and the 35th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear accident.

Adi Roche is the Founder of Chernobyl Children International and she spoke to Andrea Gilligan about how 35 years on we are still seeing the impact of this disaster.

Raisa Carolan was Born in Belarus but has since moved to Ireland - she also spoke to Andrea.
